Dance and rhythmic activities (MPR) [Catterson and Waldner]
5 lessons, one workout Wednesday, and one health lesson.
Thursday, 9/17- Friday, 9/25
Dance- 6th line, 7th hip-hop, 8th dance through decades/ maybe intro to salsa
(other ideas- tinikling, jump bands, jump ropes)
Health- Two-day lesson. Physical activity guidelines and fitness concepts. This is when we gave the fitness concepts quiz. Power point presentation. (Next year we may want to move this into the Fitness Activities unit.)
Lifetime activities (Outside) [Baker and Koehn]
Monday, 9/28-Tuesday, 10/6
5 lessons, one workout Wednesday, and one health lesson.
Lifetime activities- corn hole, bocci ball, frisbee golf, ladder golf, shuffle board, croquet, hackey-sack, table tennis, horse shoes, four-square, wall-ball, etc.
Health- Looking at FitnessGram results and goal setting
